Rudolf de Korte

Rudolf Willem de Korte (8 July 1936 – 9 January 2020) was a Dutch politician and businessman. He was a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). He served as the leader of the VDD in 1986. He was a member of the House of Representatives (1977–1986, 1986, 1989–1995). He held many government roles, including as Deputy Prime Minister (1986–1989), Minister of Economic Affairs (1986–1989) and Minister of the Interior (1986).

De Korte was born in The Hague. He married his wife, Karin, in 1966. The couple had two children.

De Korte died on 9 January 2020 in Wassenaar, South Holland. He was 83.[1]
