Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park is a national park at the eastern part of Nepal. It is named after sagarmatha, which is another name for Mt. Everest. It covers an area of 1,148 km² (443 sq mi) which is mostly occupied by Mt. Everest. It was established in 1976 and was made World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.^[1]
