St. Catherines Island

St. Catherines Island is an island off the coast of the U.S. state of Georgia, 50 miles (80 km) south of Savannah. About half the island is marshland and swamp.[1] The island is owned by the St. Catherines Island Foundation, and is not open to the public.[1] It covers an area of 14,640 acres.[1]
