St. Thomas Anglican Primary School established in 1845 in Badagry, Lagos state, is the first primary school in Nigeria.

St Thomas Anglican primary school was founded by Rev. Golmer of the church missionary society in 1845. The school started where the first storey building is today. Mr Philips was known to be the first teacher and headmaster from 1845 to 1867.[1]
