Your first source is a blog, for example, which is not generally a reliable source (much scholarship has been done on action figures, so you don't need to resort to blogs, which are hard to prove reliable). Your second source is Wikipedia itself, which is not reliable. You need to make sure that all of your sources are like the peer-reviewed journal articles and book you list, such as "Action Figures and Men" or Action Figures: Men, Action Films, and Contemporary Adventure Narratives. That first article is available in full online as both HTML and PDF. Looking at the Action figure article on the English Wikipedia, I see just two sources cited that I would classify as acceptable. One of them is the article linked just above (Pope, Harrison; Roberto Olivardia,Amanda Gruber, John Borowiecki (1998-05-26). "Evolving Ideals of Male Body Image as Seen Through Action Toys". International Journal of Eating Disorders (John Wiley & Sons, Inc) 26 (1)), and the other is "Nelson, Anders (2005). 'Children’s Toy Collections in Sweden—A Less Gender-Typed Country?'. Sex Roles (Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.) 52 (1/2)". You need to generally avoid the blogs, advertising sites and such that made up the bulk of the "sources" in the English Wikipedia article. -- Donald Albury (talk) 12:28, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Suggestions for improvement

Your outline looks like you have a good plan for your article, however, it doesn't look like you have gotten much of it finished. I think you have a really good plan, I hope you follow through with it. I found some really cool sources at the downtown library for my article, maybe you could Google Scholar your topic and find some awesome sources to help you out some. Good luck. Suggestions for improvement.

There were no ref to check. I totally understand b/c they are harder to do then I thought! :)

I think the simple English is good. I think kids and ESL people will be able to understand what is being said.

I'm looking forward to learning more about how they are made. I think that was a great topic to add. I think the children esp boys love to know the insides of how toys are made.

I think it's a good start. Each topic just needs more information.

• I would encourage you not to use lists in the article. Write full paragraphs about the topic.
• You really need to start adding more material to this article soon, as the deadline is approaching and it is difficult to add a lot of material quickly.
