"Atlantis

Atlantis was researched heavily by Plato, a greek philosipher, and had written many books on it including the Illiad.

In maps of Atlantis it is shown as an upside down Africa(North pointing down), so that if you turned it up right it would resemble a very well drawn Africa.

It has also made an apearance on Futurama, and Disney' Atlantis 1 & 2"
