This page is consistently altered by an individual who cannot back up his views.

statements like "The Catholic Church was started by Constantine who, merged pagan and Christian beliefs with political hierarchy and produced a diluted spiritual leadership." and many others cannot be verified, and contradict most if not all secular, or even religious history.

I have altered this page back to more neutral views many times, but each time, the biased, vindictive party has re-altered it. The view that you have been creating through your edits appear to be biasing the Catholic Church in the article. The users you are attacking with these comments and reverts of the article are trying to unbias the article. Jordan - talk 17:04, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

The view I reverted it to was almost a quotation from the main article on wikipedia. I has changed and now seems more reflective of that historical view. The article stating that the church was started by constantine, not only attacks the catholic view, but also the bible, that that same church compiled in the fourth century, with constantine's legalisation as an important issue. The article I altered constituted slander, legally, and implicated wikipedia, who I informed. It was a single person reverting the edits, as such article reappeared exactly the same each time, as though another copy existed on hard storage. Perthaps it had changed when you viewed it, otherwise, there is no excuse for backing up slander. In any case, it appears reverted to a more neutral view, which is what I was portraying by altering "started by constantine" to "legalised by constantine", and erasing the "produced a diluted spiritual leadership", and "merged pagan and christian beliefs"

As the christian bible, and the beliefs of all christian churches were created by the Primitive church, which Constantine legalised, and as Constantine helped erase Arianism, the early competitor of Catholicism, that believed Jesus was not devine, what form of Christianity did he "merge with" pagan beliefs?

What I am saying is that what you are saying is incorrect, both legally and historically, and the article here said the opposite of the article on the main site of wikipedia. The only other edit I made was to copy from the article on the main site. 27th Febuary 2012 - Some heavy newage nonsense from the latest youtube bandwagon (you will understand what I mean if it's still there) has changed the page quite a lot once again. Editing of this page ought to be restricted. Page needs work.

"The Patriarch of Rome, or "Pope", was honored as "first among equals" because the diocese of Rome was started by Saint Peter.

^ Catholics would dispute this "first among equals" idea. And the title was never actually used in the early centuries of the church, as the quote marks might suggest.

The idea of the Catholic Church "splitting" in two into the RC Church and the Orthodox Churches would also be disputed by Catholics and Orthodox (who each regard the other group as breaking AWAY from the Catholic Church and consider THEMSELVES to be 'the Catholic Church'.
