School project changes[change source]

The purpose of this page was to explain what a fat is. The material added might make a page on fat in the human diet, but in general it was not written to our standards.

The standard of English was not good enough. There were dozens of errors. Everything children write probably needs editing. The teacher in charge should perhaps check with an edministrator before moving the material from a sub-page onto the main encyclopedia. It's not something to be done casually. The talk page of Wikipedia talk:Administrators' noticeboard is one place to get help.

Looking at English wiki, I see they have pages on low-fat diet, ketogenic diet and no-carbohydrate diet. We don't have those pages, and I can see that some more material on diets might be a good idea. Probably it would be best to start a new page on the subject of Dieting. That is the proper title for what the children wrote about.

Suggested Improvements[change source]

We noticed that this page is too short, so we add some details to supplement it:

1. section on "Different types of fats and their functions"

2. section on "How do fats play a good role in human's body"

3. section on "Eat fat and burn fat"

4. section on "Hidden danger of fats and how to avoid those issues"

5.6 pictures with licenses

We've already done the research, corrected the grammar, and cited the references, are there any corrections for us to correct before we edit the page?

Slowness is often a good idea. Add a paragraph and improve it in one day. Next day, after all the watching editors have reviewed and done what they think is needed, look at what they did and decide whether the paragraph needs more work. When that paragraph is all finished, you can add and improve another paragraph. Perhaps you have been doing that offline with no help from the rest of us, and intend to insert the results all at once. That way usually fails. Other advice may be available by asking at Wikipedia:Simple talk or at en:Wikipedia:Education noticeboard. Jim.henderson (talk) 20:28, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
