I have added detail about their function. Like all proteins, histones are composed of amino acids. The details of their amino acid sequence and its folding into the finished molecule is not appropriate for this wiki. It would not be understood by our target audience, who are not molecular biologists. The references to the articles in journals are leads for anyone who wishes to go further.
