Interesting topic; language needs to be thoroughly simplified. Let's see it in a few days' time. Macdonald-ross (talk) 20:30, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is the projectwide translation of the week many projects will be making it currently. As an science topic it is going to be very hard to impossible to make it fully simple without removing many of the terms. Bobherry Talk My Changes 20:33, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
things that are still needed:
  • image of a toxic insect, or an insect catching prey using toxin
  • We need the name of at least one (common?) Insect toxin

@Eptalon@Bobherry Why is two-thirds of the article about assassin bugs? Are they one of the only insects that use toxins? Don't lots of other insects have toxins too? I don't get it, and why is the English Wikipedia article like this too? I don't understand why an article this unbalanced was chosen as the translation of the week. 2601:644:907E:A450:8C84:BAD8:A146:B6AC (talk) 17:36, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Look at the German version, it is better. And no, many bugs, ants,... Use toxins. Many also have warning coloration. Eptalon (talk) 18:01, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As Eplatlon said. Bobherry Talk My Changes 20:13, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
