Hyphens should not be used for interpolatory dashes: n-dashes are usual.
Bearing in mind that, in general, readers out of Iowa neither know nor care who the individuals are, the emphasis of a page like this should perhaps be towards something they might find interesting. Do we have any idea as to the big decisions they made in the last few years? As far as it goes, nothing wrong with the article, but not exactly riveting reading...
