human sacrifice; copy-pasted text[change source]

This is a further explanation why I made this radical edit. Well, the text in bold has been copied from this book:

"According to popular British folklore, the tradition once had a sinister twist, in that the May Queen was put to death once the festivities were over. The veracity of this belief is difficult to establish, but while in truth it might just be an example of anti-pagan propaganda, frequent associations between May Day rituals, the occult and human sacrifice are still to be found in popular culture today. The Wicker Man, a cult horror film starring Christopher Lee, is a prominent example of this."

We cannot do it in Wikipedia.

As for "human sacrifice" - just because those culture references have been reflected in a horror film does not make them notable enough to be mentioned in the current article. Of course, we can do it in the article about the film, but doing it here can be read as a proof that "human sacrifice" actually was practiced. 85.193.215.210 (talk) 21:50, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
