Nanjing is a medieval city and the capital of Jiangsu Provence in eastern China. It is next to the Yangtze River in southwestern Jiangsu. Nanjing has a lot of historical places. It has the most famous Confucius Temple. It is the home of the tombs of Hongwu Emperor and Sun Yat-sen. Nanjing has a famous building called Nanjing Zifeng Tower and it is as high as the tallest mountain in Nanjing called Purple Mountain. The Presidential Palace where the presidents and emperor worked in the past. The Nanjing Massacre happened in late 1937 and about three hundred thousand people were dead so there is a museum for them. Nanjing’s famous local food is osmanthus cake and it tastes very delicious!
