"This is different to a layer 1 switch which sends all traffic from either side." This does not make any sense to me. I attended some Cisco CCNA classes and from what I can remember, there is no such thing as a "layer 1 switch". That would be a hub. A Switch as well as a Bridge belongs to Layer 2 of the OSI model. The only difference between the two is that a Bridge only has two interfaces as opposed to the Switch, which has more than two. P.S.: On second thought, this whole article does not make much sense in its current state. -- Marcus
