I think we should talk about how the photon (or quantization of light) was discovered

1. We should certainly mention the photoelectric effect.
2. A brief mention of Plank's calculation should certainly come first, but without any attempt to explain the physics of a thermal gas of light. We could talk about a black body.
3. Finally the emission and absorption spectra of atoms should be mentioned (perhaps first)

• Before I start this, I will search Wikipedia, Wikiversity, and Wikibooks. If they already did something I can use, then I will not try to do anything here.

• I am trying to construct a college conceptual physics mini-course. What is Conceptual Physics? At the college level, it is a science course designed to fulfill a breadth requirement for non-science majors. Some people call them "Rocks for jocks", "Physics for poets", or "Chemistry for cooks". They are often associated with "Physics 101" as freshman level courses. Making the protocol for equations consistent

There are at least two ways to express equations in wikitext: One uses the equation <math> mode, while a variety of others use text (sometimes italic). The article I found mixed the modes. Not knowing the standard for WP simple, I adopted the math mode.--Guy vandegrift (talk) 02:55, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
