Change of official name[change source]

Something should be mentioned about the recent decision to remove “Providence Plantations” from the official state name. It’s not even shown on this page that “Rhode Island” is not the state’s full name. (It only mentions Providence Plantations when it was a colony, but that part never ceased to be included in the full name.) Jhurley85 (talk) 11:35, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
