I don't seem to find any relevant google hits for "transposition instrument", "transpositional instrument", or "transpositional family of instruments". Similar searches, but without the quotation marks, only seem to find discussions of 'transposition' that related to comparisions of instruments that that play in different keys, like this: http://www.musictheory.halifax.ns.ca/transposition.html

Maybe there's a more commonly used term for 'family of instruments that have the same fingering'? Freshstart 01:47, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
