Comments[change source]

Hi, great work on the article! :) I read over the page and thought it was overall nicely and neatly done. However, I agree with Auntof6 that it could use just a little more simplifying, and here's a list of additional comments:

  • The intro doesn't have any refs at all. It might be unreliable without at least two or three sources. Especially to facts such as "Selena got to number seven on the US Regional Mexican Albums chart." and in the sentence about how that helped Selena to win her awards. "Selena wrote "My Love" on her own" needs a reference as well.
  • "He was looking for new acts." This could sound a little vague. What kind of "new acts" does it mean in this sentence? Perhaps some more specific information would help clarify it to the readers?

Overall, I just wish the article was longer. Quality isn't that closely related to the length of the page, but as I said, some expanding would improve it even more! I hope I was of some help. Good work on the page! Let me know when you've attended to all of my comments. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 11:08, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your review! I wish as well, but that's why I decided to work on it because all her others would be longer and would be more difficult for me to simplify on my own. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 16:32, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A few little things
  • Please check that all the wiktionary links are working - the first one I clicked on "commentary" didn't exist.
  • The Harvard-style citation links don't work because you're using {{cite book}} instead of {{citation}}.
  • Delink dates, please (I think it's just in the infobox).

I haven't had time to read it yet. If you need more input later, just leave me a message on my talk page. Osiris (talk) 04:03, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you mean by the Harvard citations, I don't see any Harvard references. There are only two books used in this article which would need to use cite book. All the others are news articles archived from google. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 12:40, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're using some Harvard-style footnotes through the use of {{sfn}}, which requires the corresponding use of {{citation}} in order to work. Osiris (talk) 08:12, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So I have to use cite:book instead? Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 13:18, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've done it in this edit. Now the links on the footnotes work. Osiris (talk) 02:39, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! btw are there any issues remaining in the article? Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 02:59, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not that I can see. It's a bit short for my liking (only two sections of prose)... but I guess you've covered all there is to say about it? Osiris (talk) 03:27, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
