Species?

I am not a botanist, so I can't really tell. When searching on Google, I find S. japonica, subsp. 'violacea'. I also find 2-3 jsor publixcations.

1. Lets clarify the name and rank of this plant
2. Generally, we use the common English name for plants (and animals). The page should likely be moved, once this name is known.
3. An interwiki link would be useful
