Usage
Template:ISO 639 name kg is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code kg, for example: {{Translated page |kg |name of page at Kongo Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Kongo Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Kongo Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |kg}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|kg| some text in Kongo}} wraps the text with <span lang="kg"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Kongo-language text. Also available is {{Lang-kg |some text in Kongo}} which displays as Kongo: some text in Kongo.
- {{R from other language|kg|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Kongo-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|kg}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Kongo-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
