Usage[change source]
{{SOWL}} is a simple template for inserting a citation to the book The Sounds of the World's Languages by Peter Ladefoged and Ian Maddieson, which is cited extremely commonly in articles on phonetics and phonology.
Useful parameters:
- First parameter: optional page number.
style=citation: Use{{citation}}instead of{{cite book}}. This changes the look slightly (basically, commas instead of periods are used to separate sections of the citation), and should be used when the remaining citations use{{citation}}. In both cases, parenthetical references inserted using{{harv}}or similar templates will work properly.
