The Railway Man is a 2013 British-Australian drama war movie. It is about a British officer who is captured by the Japanese during World War II, held prisoner, used as slave labour and tortured. He has psychological trauma from his experiences. Colin Firth plays Eric Lomax. Nicole Kidman plays Patti Lomax.

Reviews of the movie were mixed to positive. It was released December 2013 in Australia. It was released April 2014 in the United States.
