Timothy Alexander (born April 10, 1965) is an American drummer. He is also known as Herb Alexander.[1] He is best known for playing the drums for Primus. Primus is an American rock band.

Alexander played the drums on many of Primus' albums. He played the drums on albums such as Frizzle Fry (1990), Sailing the Seas of Cheese (1991), Pork Soda (1993) and Tales from the Punchbowl (1995).[2][3] He left the band in 1996, and then joined it again in 2003. He then left the band in 2010. He joined again in 2013. As of 2022, he is still in the band.

Alexander has played the drums for other music groups.[4] He has played the drums for A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. These are bands made by Maynard James Keenan. Alexander has also been in the Blue Man Group.
