Your first barnstar![change | change source]

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
This is for coping extremely well today as a nu user, with the continuous, harrassing, vandalism that User:Gwib kept up today to both of us. I think that together, we managed to overcome the vandal, whether he intended to be or not, and made wikipedia a more peaceful community for everyone :) IamAre 20:30, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Music[change | change source]

I'll join in the near future. I have a few other things to get done before then. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 13:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I've joined on the sly. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 19:19, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Ooooh thank you...[change | change source]

thank you excessive amounts! I really like the barnstar. Yes, I think we both handled 'Tantrum Gwib' very well, and I am glad to have met you as a wikifriend. I appologize on behalf of Gwib (as I know that he will not) for anything he said that may have hurt or offended you (which I know it did). However, with such great friends like Barliner, Razorflame, Tygrrr, Lights, Creol, and each other, I know that we'll be safe from any such event as 'Tantrum Gwib 2'... but lets hope it doesn't come to that. :) (PS, oh god i just remembered, I can't talk on your page... so this must be the last time I talk with you on your page, until Tygrrr releases the rule... but I felt that it would only be rude not to thank you for the barnstar here...) IamR 15:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes, this must be the last time until then. Thanks. · Tygrrr... 15:23, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcoming IPs[change | change source]

When wecoming IPs, make sure that they are not vandals. All 4 of the IPs you recently welcomed had their edits reverted or deleted. If you are not sure who to welcome, you can leave it to the more experienced users for now. We only want to welcome helpful users to our community. Thanks. · Tygrrr... 15:39, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I'm Quite sorry, I just thought that I was halping ouy. Sorry :-(

IuseR 16:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

If you have any questions about welcoming users, please make sure to watch carefully which users I welcome to this site. I usually only welcome IP addresses if they make extremely helpful edits, or are users that I know from other sites to either be administrators, checkusers, or bureaucrats (yes! I spelt it right!). As for registered users, they have to either create an article (non-vandalism) or make good edits. Razorflame 20:13, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
  • OK, Will remember that IuseR 20:15, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
I would recommend you watch the more experienced editors for about a week and notice exactly which users are being welcomed. That would be the best way for you to learn who the welcome. Razorflame 20:17, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm Sorry, I guess I just wanted to act like more of an experienced editor, Sorry :-( ... I'll keep an eye on other editors for now, actually, I'll just stick to my project, Have you seen my new page? Hot Club de Paris. IuseR 20:20, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Reverts[change | change source]

Many of the recent deletions you have made are of real people. Please do not delete vandalism unless you are sure it is, and provide an edit summary when you do delete so that it is easy to find out why you deleted an item--Bärliner 18:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Red links[change | change source]

Red links are links to articles that do not exist yet. They are usually left in articles to remind other editors to add these articles to the website hopefully soon. Please don't remove them in the future. Thanks Razorflame 20:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh Dear, I can't do anything right today, can I? lol... The link was to a non existant article about kele Okerake, The lead singer of Bloc Party, and If I don't make that page, then I doubt anybody will, because I've seen Bloc Party Twice. and I doubt that I will making that page in the near future... But seeing as I removed the dead link, i will add it to the list of project pages which need to be made, Just to remind myslef / the other non-existant project members. IuseR 20:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Your signature[change | change source]

Dear IuseRosary,

I would like to ask you not to use white letters (which appear invisible) in your signature. They make reading them a lot harder; after all, the singature is there so that people can know who wrote the message, isn't it?

Thanks, - Huji reply 21:34, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

There, I have changed it. "I hope you're Happy, I hope you're Happy Now. I hope you're happy how you Hurt your cause Forever, I hope you think you're clever!" That was quoting btw, From the hit, West-End Musical, Wicked, Which doesn't as of yet have it's own SEW page, But as part of my SimpleWikiProject Music There soon will be one.

Message on User talk:Iamandrewrice[change | change source]

The message "Why is that Gwib Character saying stuff like "Pray tell"? Thats the kind of language that I use. maybe because I'm religious, I don't know. Don't even start talking about my religion, I just think that I have been a good influence on young and niave Gwib. No Insult Intended I.R 21:35, 11 January 2008 (UTC)" was not in an appropriate place and did not have appropriate content.

It is insulting. If you continue posting messages like this which serve to inflame an unfortunate situation which should be allowed to cool down you will be blocked. --Bärliner 21:52, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Scince when do I normally post messages like that? That was a one off. I'm Sorry, I won't do it again and I will just continue to work on the project. I.R 21:55, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Barnstars[change | change source]

What has happened. What where you trying to do when it happened.--Bärliner 11:06, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I thought maybe it was something wrong witht the original upload of the pics on wiki Commons, So I re uploaded them and replaced the image, but that was after the pics in the branstars had already disappeared and replaced with a little red 'x' in the top left hand corner. I.R 11:08, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
The original pictures were deleted because there was no licensing info. You need to be able to show the people on commons that the images you used were free of copyright or in the public domain. --Bärliner 11:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I made the barnstars myself, and made sure the pics i used in themiddle had no copyright or liscencing on, i guess I just frogot to say that they had no liscence.

I.R 11:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Tell that to commons, preferably with the url of the picture's sources, or they risk being deleted again--Bärliner 11:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
But I've reuploaded them, saying that they don't need a liscence this time. I.R 14:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Signatures[change | change source]

Can you two decide on a signature that is not confusing and stick to it. Is is not acceptable for you both to use "IR". I signature should identify the user, not provide an opportunity for confusion"--Bärliner 14:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Our sigs are completely different. Mine is massive and a different colour to ben's. I think it is quite easy to identify us. I.R 14:52, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Read this, the similarities between yours and I-R's signatures are having adverse effects on us, they install confusion and aggravation and it might be best to just change the colour or even one letter to differentiate between them. A dash or a full stop isn't enough, nor is an annoyingly big size which hides other messages. --Gwib -(talk)- 14:58, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
  • That Policy is on enWiki, show me a policy on Sim ple Wiki and I will do as you say. #I.R

Sorry, It was an inside Joke that me and I-RE have in our emails. Sorry. I.R 16:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

For clarification[change | change source]

When I said "...I only hope the often mentioned "my friend Joe" does not start causing disruption now." --Bärliner 16:09, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

You replied:

  • I hope so too, This Joe Charcter sounds like a Chuckey Doll, we should steer clear of him. I.R 16:15, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Does this mean you support his being banned on sight?--Bärliner 16:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Banned is harsh for a user who hasn't shown his face yet, maybe just blocked, I know that I learnt my lesson when I got blocked for 24h for being rude. Baned is a bit extreme. I.R 17:00, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
So it is just a coincidence that this user on EN Wiki, with the name including Jose has been editing the Mean Girls article at almost exaclty the same time as you have been here?
Jeff seems to think you are Joe and I have no reason to doubt him MindTheGap (talk) 17:18, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, Jeff doesn't Know me. I'm not disrupting here, so leave me be to work on my music project, which I have just created another article for. Maximo Park. My name is Rupert. I.R 17:26, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

And, OMG - do a checkuser, that Jose Person Is Not me! I've never even seen Deja Vu. I.R 17:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
In the edits that Josedemierda did to Deja Vu, he just explained that it was also a song by Beyoncé. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:31, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, i swear that user is not me, do a check user, I dare you to be proved wrong, oh, and I don't know who James Cameron‎ is. And, i only edited mean Girls on this wikipedia because ben emailed me and said we should add to the pages that Gwib edits, thats why he edited pompeii. I.Rosary 17:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
So you are admitting to acting as a meatpuppet for a blocked editor? And are you still claiming you do not know "Ben" in real-life even though he has admitted you both go to the same school? MindTheGap (talk) 17:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Not a meat puppet, he did not tell me what to write, just that it might be a good idea to follow the articles that Gwib had been writing and extend them. Also, We did that beore he got blocked. I don't know what he meant by this School stuff, I go to school in Yorkshire, Maybe it was just an example, I really Don't know. I.Rosary 17:37, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
It's alright, I reverted his edits to the article since it was just a paragraph copied directly from En Wiki. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and look at my edits to the music catagory of this website. Dose it look like I listen to american pop rubbish like Beonce? Do I have a user box which says 'This user listens to american pop mainstream, doesn't write their own songs or perform their own instruments, most of the time doesn't even sing rubbish music'? No. I.Rosary 17:57, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

About being part of your WikiProject...[change | change source]

I don't know much about Western music since I only recently moved to an English-speaking country, and the music I listen to are usually Chinese and Japanese rock and pop. Can I still contribute to your WikiProject? Alexhl (talk) 09:18, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Changes[change | change source]

I probably should've notified you earlier, bu here are the pages that I've created:

Alexhl (talk) 05:27, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh, cool... Do you want me to put them on the list of page that need looking at? IuseRosary (talk) 11:44, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Knifes/Knives[change | change source]

Regarding this revert you made earlier. The plural of knife in the context of the article is "knives," and not "knifes" so the revert was not needed. Knifes is used in the context of "Youth knifes pensioner" etc. MindTheGap (talk) 19:45, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, but 'Knife' is what it should be to make it gratically correct.. And, I'm sorry, so please correct me if I am wrong, but I think you may have a problem with popups, because I've read a couple of edit summeries where you said popups were used, but befre you reverted, no popups came up for me at all, but that may be because my computer has a very high security program with no popups. I.Rosary 19:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, you're right, knife. It's there now MindTheGap (talk) 19:51, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
  • cool :-) I.Rosary 19:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Is that a British English thing? Because if you ask me, "several types of knife" is grammatically incorrect... · Tygrrr... 19:55, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Are you sure, Because I swear it would be several types of knife, it just sounds right to me, but thats just my opinion. If you disagree, maybe we should start something on the simple talk, or something? I.Rosary 19:57, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

The several refers to the types not the knife, so it's fine. As opposed to several knives, where the several refers to the knives. But I may be looking at this incorrectly! MindTheGap (talk) 19:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
It could be a difference between Brit/Amer English that I wasn't previously aware of but I would most definitely say "several types of knives". That's also what's used in the section's header--"Types of knives". · Tygrrr... 20:02, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, if i were speaking it, I think that I would defiunately have used "several types of knife" - but i'm a bit confused now, lol I.Rosary 20:04, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

If it helps, Google would seem to agree with knives over knife: 40,100 results for "type of knife" and 114,000 results for "types of knives". Also, it looks like the majority of the results for "types of knife" have knife as an adjective instead of a noun. For example, "many different types of knife sharpeners" or "types of knife collectors". Although it does appear there is an accepted British use of "types of knife" but seems to be in the minority. · Tygrrr... 20:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Then I'm in favour for going back to knives then. It seems to make more sence now. I.Rosary 20:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for getting the vandaliam to this page. I changed the warning to from test 2 to test2a, which is about removing content. Also my program automatically adds subst:--Bärliner 19:28, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

I was just about to message you with an explination. I'm sorry, I got my effect & affects mixed up. I though the IP had changed it from effect to affect, when really it was the other way around. I'm really sorry :-(. I.Rosary 20:02, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Warning vandals[change | change source]

Warning Vandals[change | change source]

When you warn a vandal, make sure to sign your name after it by using four tildes ~~~~

Also, when you use a template, make sure you use it correctly. Razorflame 18:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

That was once, and then I went back and signed it off. sorry about not using the unsigned template properly : ( I.Rosary 18:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome Message[change | change source]

I added a welcome message to my own mage as it provides a link to all the Wikipedia policies and help pages which I wanted to access. --Anonymous101 (talk) 19:02, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough. Just seems a bit lonesome, wait there, i'll detete your welcome message and re add it so it seems like a happier community, lol I.Rosary 19:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I think that {{subst:welcomeg}} is a much better welcome template because it actually has the links that he needs. Razorflame 19:05, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
well, i just re added the one which he originally added with the subst. bit on it, but if you say so. I.Rosary 19:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Go look at it. Look at all of the links that it gave him :) Razorflame 19:07, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, yeah, I've seen it, and I agree that it's better. But he said he added the original one because it had the links he needed, so I just re added that one, because i assumed that that was the one he wanted since it was the one that he put there in the first place. But, yeah, I definately agree, the one you gave himn is better! : ) I.Rosary 19:10, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

And I'm pretty sure that it will have all the links that he had in his old one, plus a couple :) Razorflame 19:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Warning vandals[change | change source]

Here's something you need to keep in mind when reverting vandalism: Always assume good faith. This is a key thing that you need to remember. I used to not always assume good faith, and it's gotten me into trouble in the past. I now follow this rule. Razorflame 19:50, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I do generally assume good faith. I don't warn users if it looks like they are trying to help. But, i'll make sure i consiously think about that more when warning and all. : - ) I.Rosary 19:52, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Undoing IP edit[change | change source]

Not every change made by an IP is vandalism; this is an example. You undid that revision two times, while it is not vandalism. It only needs to be fixed grammatically. Please make sure you should really revert something, before acutally reverting it. - Huji reply 20:30, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

yes, I'm sorry, I have already spoken to someone about that. I am quite sure that i did not revert it twice. Ifg i did, then I completely apologise even more, I only meant to change it gramitaclly the second time. I'm pretty sure that that is the only non-vandilism that I have reverted tonight, I only did it because it did not have citations, but I did not warn the user because I saw that it was in good faith. But I have spoken to Razorflame, and I will no longer remove infomation that has not been citated that looks like it could be true : ) I.Rosary 20:33, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Controversial edits[change | change source]

Not all edits need a warning. Sometimes they can be removed as silly but in good faith. Controversial statements can also be left sometimes, but it might be useful to ask for a source, by using {{fact}}--Bärliner 20:37, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Do i put thatnext to the statement that someone has written, or at the top of the page where the statement has been writeen on? I.Rosary 20:39, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Right after it. Razorflame 20:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Cool, Thanks. I.Rosary 20:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

this edit was a good faith edit. It did not need to be undone. Razorflame 19:47, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Your warning[change | change source]

One person creates an account, adds some things to his/her talk page and then removes it. What is the point in warning them about their own talk page like this? - Huji reply 13:08, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

i am sorry, I did not realise. I am just trying to help, your constructive critasism is appriciated, i can learn from it, as I still am learning. I.Rosary 18:51, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Fine. Just try to practice the things you've learned so far. - Huji reply 21:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Mormons[change | change source]

I think Mormons are one of the few Unitarianist movements; they see themselves as Christians, but they do not believe in the Trinity; these groupings split from the rest in the First Council of Nicaea; another such group is Jehovah's Witnesses. The basic idea there is only God Father is eternal (not made); he then created the son (who is also eternal, but who was created) or Logos (The word) who created the world. Mormonism itself is a reformed (as in Protestant) movement (with additional scriptures, too). --Eptalon (talk) 21:36, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

My RfA[change | change source]

Thank you for voting in my recent RfA, but reading the oppose comments, I have decided that I am not experienced enough to be an administrator yet. Thanks again! Razorflame 23:01, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Ewan McGregor[change | change source]

Helpful changes are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but Ewan McGregor was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not directly copy and paste articles from the English Wikipedia, since they are usually too complex and may have templates that do not exist here. Thanks.

Oysterguitarist 15:29, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

I have now simplified the page, so it is not directly c&p'd I.Rosary 15:33, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Edit summary[change | change source]

When you warn a user or post a notice on an IP addresses' talk page, please remember to write something in the edit summary so that we can identify what it is you changed. I would highly recommend you start using the edit summary as it helps other editors identify what it is you changed. Thanks, Razorflame 16:25, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, Will do. : - ) I.Rosary 16:26, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually not using an edit summary is vandalism in itself, technically. Tools such as whack-a-mole automatically add an edit summary after you have warned someone--Bärliner 16:56, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh golly, So I could get blocked for Vandalism or something for forgetting to put edit summeries? I.Rosary 16:59, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Stub template[change | change source]

Please do not substitute the stub template into articles. Razorflame 16:30, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Why not? I.Rosary 16:30, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Look at every other article that has one in it and you will see why. Razorflame 16:31, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

What does substituting actually do? Why do you have to do it to some templates but not others? I.Rosary 16:34, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

One, 'cos I said so. :)
Two, There is no category for stubs, finding out what links to the template is the only way to find out what articles are stubs. If you subst: then the article is lost until someone else comes along and finds it, even then it may be lost again, and stay a stub--Bärliner 16:36, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh right, cool. Thank-You : - ) I.Rosary 16:37, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

A general rule of thumb: Never substitute any templates in articles. Razorflame 16:39, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, Thanks, I'll remember that : ) I.Rosary 16:40, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Re:[change | change source]

No, he wasn't. Razorflame 17:21, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I just thought it may be, because I participated a bit in the conversation after asking what rollback meant. I.Rosary 17:22, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Vandals[change | change source]

You can leave a notice on the Vandalism in progress page to let other administrators know that a certain user needs blocking. Razorflame 19:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

OK. IuseRosary (talk) 16:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Blocked temp 15 minutes[change | change source]

You have been stopped from making changes to wikipedia because of your bad changes. You can start making changes in a useful way as soon as the block ends. But you may be blocked again if you keep making changes that harm wikipedia.
Bärliner 17:06, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

After inserting all that gibberish into Gwibs talk page you are fortunate I decided on a fifteen minute ban as a cooling off. I decided to take advice as to whether you were using the page to help benniguy circumvent his posting ban as well as vandalising a page, in which case a far longer ban would be in order --Bärliner 17:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I just saw all the messages! I had to read it a couple of times to see what they actually wanted... Thanks for stepping in. --Gwib -(talk)- 18:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

QD tags[change | change source]

Please use the following when you place a qd tag on an article:

  • {{non}} if it is complete nonsense
  • {{qd|Vandalism}}
  • {{qd|Test page}}

If you have a different reason that you could put in them, you could use it like this:

  • {{qd|(insert reason here)}}

Thanks, Razorflame 18:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Razor. What If somebody persistantly keeps making a page that has been deleted beofre (like the hitman one) Is that considered a test page or vandilism? IuseRosary (talk) 18:57, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
You could always put it like this:
  • {{qd|Recreated vandal page}}

Razorflame 18:59, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, Thank-You : ) IuseRosary (talk) 19:00, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
To answer your question more specifically, if a IP address repeatedly makes the same page after it's been deleted, then I think that it counts as vandalism, so I would use either the one I just gave you or the vandalism one. Razorflame 19:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Cool, Ok. Thanks IuseRosary (talk) 19:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Recreating a page that has been deleted before is vandalism and can be deleted on sight. mark it something like QD|recreate and we can stop it being created again --Bärliner 19:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

For making your first correct QD! I hereby award you this barnstar! Razorflame 20:22, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my answer.

It is already listed in the page on Yvette Fielding. It is not actually a sister show of Most Haunted, but rather, an old show of hers that has no connection to Most Haunted. Razorflame 20:13, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

oh, yeah. I must have misunderstoon, sorry. IuseRosary (talk) 20:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
No, it was I who misspoke. You didn't do anything wrong; I was the one at fault here. Razorflame 20:15, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Shakespeare[change | change source]

What is "wrong" with the William Shakespeare entry?--Bärliner 20:05, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

it is well made up rubbish! It is 100% fact that shakespeare wrote all his own stuff, thats why his work is authored 'shakespeare'. Thats why just about every single secondary school in england study him. That is why he has theatres and Performing art groups named after him. It is rubbish! IuseRosary (talk) 20:08, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Read this before you revert again. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:08, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I am sorry, but William Shakespeare Wrote all of his own work about 500 nyears ago, if he didn't write it himself, they would have found out by now. It is Rubbish! Why wouyld every secondary school in england study a pohony for their GCSE english Language & Literature Coursework? I'll give you that he may have pinched storylines from elsewhere, but he certainly wrote everything that he did. I will not revert again, because I don't want to get into an edit war, but I think something should be put at the top oif the page, maybe saying @Half of this page is lies!!!' or something about neutrality, because this IP is obv against Shakespeare, they should be blocked! IuseRosary (talk) 20:13, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

If you think about it, you're actually being violently biased for Shakespeare right now. If there is even a tiny, miniature insignificant doubt about who Shakespeare really was, it's our duty to inform the world about it whether it's true or not. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:15, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
no, That is the job of Sky News when they make the discovery that the best playwrite and poet in History was a Phoney! Until I see that News article, I will be against that heading on That page! It is not neutral! IuseRosary (talk) 20:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
It is perfectly neutral. Don't revert the changes to it or make any edit to that particular passage. You can put a biased template on it for us to discuss, but flat out removal of information will force me to protect the article and may ensue in a warning or even a block for you. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:20, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

A block for remooving lies? IuseRosary (talk) 20:21, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

For removing potential truth. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:22, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

AfD causes ceased to exist[change | change source]

Please modify your vote in accord to current changes to "keep" status, because I already removed all causes of your objections from both PIE articles nominated to deletion. For proof look here: Schleicher's fable, The king and the god. Both articles no longer are copied, they are now heavily reworded to be different from main English wiki and to be as Simple English as possible, and now features context according to Tygrrr hints. CBMIBM (talk) 10:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Can you put a strikeout through my comment then please. I am very busy. Just say in the edit summery that I have requested you to do it. I will add a new comment on a different Occassion. IuseRosary (talk) 20:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Moulin Rouge![change | change source]

You didn't simplify any of the text. Apart from adding a couple of words here and there, the text is exactly the same as the En WIki text. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

It is not, Leave it and i'll work on simplifying it more in a second :-) IuseRosary (talk) 21:07, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

If it's not simplified significantly by the end of the weekend, I'll delete it. Btw on a ligher note, will start working on your userpage now. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:08, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh Thanks Gwib, you're ace :-) I'm working on the simplification tonight and should be done in not too long. I'll then have somebody look over it to see if it needs further simplification. IuseRosary (talk) 21:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Tell me if you want the colours changed. You requested "green" so I put green colours, but you may not like them. Any other tweeking you can't do yourself, just ask and I'll try to attend to them. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:46, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Oh Thanks, Gwib, it's Great, I love it! :-) IuseRosary (talk) 21:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

this is the subject[change | change source]

why did you delete my ingrown nail article? Do you not believe they exist? They do. I have 3. Inkpen2 (talk) 21:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but It wasn't really notible or sufficient enough to be on here. Maybe when you become more experienced you can remake it with more depth. IuseRosary (talk) 21:59, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
But it says it on Wikipedia 1 Inkpen2 (talk) 22:00, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, but your page didn't go into enough detail to be on this wikipedia. When you become more experienced, you my be able to make it again :-) IuseRosary (talk) 22:02, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. Can you experience me please? I have already got quite far, because I have made my first page, and I have spoken to someone called Razorfire, who said she would help me. I have also learnt to make the four signs at the end of my messages. Inkpen2 (talk) 22:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, well. I don't really have the time or experience to "experience" you, maybe you should ask somebody else :-) IuseRosary (talk) 22:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I will go ask Razorfire Inkpen2 (talk) 22:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

IP soft block[change | change source]

Checkuser information on the creation of a sockpuppet account for a banned user shows the exact IP used to create the account. This led to the entire IP range being soft blocked for a period of 1 year. As you are the only registered user on that range, this means you must be logged in to edit. You can edit normally, but only while logged in. Should another account somehow get created for the banned user in a similar manner (say created by an account from that range of IPs), all accounts that are part of the problem will be also blocked indefinitely as a violation of Wikipedia policy. If I were you, I would be very careful that no one was able to create an account using yours. -- Creol(talk) 00:18, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

oh, are you being serious? was Inkpen2 the sockpuppet. well, actually, thta was a stupid question, i just checked the talk page and it said that it was. I thought something was awfully false about that user. I did not make that account, if that's what you were implying. But I couldn't tell you who did either. It could have been a number of people. It could have been ben himself, he was round yesterday for an hour or two. But then my sister (who is friendly with ben aswell) has the internet upstairs in her room, So I don't know. I'll ask my sister later :-) IuseRosary (talk) 10:24, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Warning re images[change | change source]

Moulin Rouge![change | change source]

I have removed all of the images from Moulin Rouge!. They were copyright violations, ans you should check your talk page at commons. I would suggest taking the vga candidate template off the page for the time being while you work on the article some more and perhaps source acceptable images. Screenshots and movieposters will never be accepted unless you have written proof in accordance with Commons' rules.--Bärliner 16:25, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

ok. thanks. but i don't know why the official warning was necessary, I wasn't going to upload anymore. IuseRosary (talk) 17:03, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
