Skeletons

Bones are rigid and strong and make up the scaffolding for your body called the skeleton. When you are fully grown your adult skeleton has 205 bones. Your skeleton and bones store and release calcium. Without your skeleton you will be a big blob because your skeleton does 3 vital jobs: 1)support your body. 2)protect your organs. 3)allow you to move.

Our skeleton grows as we grow. Our cranium(our skull) protects your brain, your ribcage protects your heart and lungs and your pelvis protects your small and large intestines and your right and left kidneys.
