Hello! I'm assuming you've popped over from the English Wikipedia, so you're probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay on! Here's a few links to help you adjust:

There's plenty to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that don't exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you'd like to do. Thanks for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need a hand.

Glad to see you here, 220.101 :) sonia 08:02, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Boo! Those refs need a bit of a cleanup! :-)) I went to the wrong talk page at first! Hee haw! 220.101 talk\Contribs 08:15, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can't tell you how nice it is to see an IP on simple's recent changes feed and not get an immediate "uh-oh, I'll probably have to fix/rollback/revdel/block" feeling. When I see your familiar set of digits I know all is well with the wiki :) sonia 07:57, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ola! Soniarita! I thought I might find you 'hiding' over here! Poor old Inductor article needed one ref, which I borrowed from the 'Big Kids' wiki. I think the first line is wrong too, but I'll get back to that. Have to make sure I don't use too many 'big words', like photolithography, Oh! not too big obviously! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 08:11, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nice Panda too! 220.101 talk\Contribs08:16, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When vandals make my page pretty, I can block them but leave the prettiness. :P Pandas are cool after all... You'll find there's much more core articlework to be done here, so if you like to build content a bit this is a great place to be. By the way: would you mind me nomming Terry Buck for DYK on enwiki? Giving you co-credit, naturally. sonia 08:20, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, was thinking of that a bit myself...
"DYK Terry Buck was the first Australian to compete in the Olympics(1964) and then coach (1984) and manage swimmers(1992-1996) at the Olympics?"
...or something like that? - 220.101 talk\Contribs08:35, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(<-) <unceremonious two cents>Maybe ...he was the first Australian swimmer to first participate at the Olympics as both an athlete and a coach? might be good.</unceremonious two cents> Hi, 220.101! :) I'm really glad you dropped by—I do hope you stick around Simple! Very sincerely, —Clementina talk 08:42, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Clementina,
Sure, whatever works! I don't know if any other Aussie has done that, not sure how significant the 'manage' bit is. I'm wondering If many/any athletes have done all three jobs at Olympic or even international level.- 220.101 talk\Contribs 08:54, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, he managed swimmers as well! In that case, I like your version better, though maybe the dates can be left out. Nota bene: I'm clueless about sports, so I'm sorry I can't be better help. And I concur with Sonia - it's so very refreshing to see an anonymous user write a good change summary! ;) —Clementina talk 09:07, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, dear 220.101.28.25! I love your long name, and the cool numbers, too . I just wanted to give you a small welcome to simple. Anybody who comes from en as Sonia's friend becomes automatically, of course, more than welcomed by me! :) All the IPs in the world should thank you. Reading your talk on en and over here, I'm quite amazed and my prejudice I had till now that IP Adresses were supposed to be vandals is completely shattered. Well, I'm eagerly looking forward to see an IP's userpage on simple soon (a very rare sight ). I would normally suggest you to sign in, but I guess having a great IP here must be something nice too. Once again, welcome! Ask me if you have any questions (although you probably won't, since you've come over from en) and take your time making yourself comfortable here. Simple English Wikipedia is very friendly! Once again, welcome, and God bless you. With the most warm sincerity, Belle tête-à-tête 09:14, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Edit-conflicted by Bella's effusive welcome and confession to anti-IP prejudice... Hey, 220.101, it now exists at simple, thanks to my magic spells. And check the history- all your edits from en are in it! Double DYK time methinks! sonia 09:16, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Omg, I am soo popular here! @ Sonia, Yo!, I was wondering where you had gone! It's been raining here quite heavily today BTW. How is the quake aftermath going in Noo Zuland?
@ 'Belle', Hello & thanks for the "effusive welcome"! Belle, some IPs give me the 'yips' too!, though there are some on en-Wiki who are actually famous for their high edit counts, and other/s for their anti-vandal work! Just for you Belle, here's the full 'monicker'! - 220.101.28.25 (talk) 09:36, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where did everyone go? - 220.101 talk\Contribs 17:53, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You know where I went. Your sig actually looks quite nice in red methinks! sonia 20:44, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, "Xonia of New Zealand, Adventures in the Wilderness (part 2)". I have just expanded Apollo 13 (sorry no references!) I have a book by Jim Lovell about it, which I will try to find. Cleaned up (!) Atomic theory, reverted some vandalism and put a SchoolIP template on a page. (Apparently I can create article pages here!) Now If I can just get some sleep! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 21:04, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hm "#CC0099" isn't bad! - 220.101, or maybe 'Teal' 220.101 talk\Contribs 09:48, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, 220! :) I was just wondering if you'd like some suggestions for your sig. I love changing my sig around, even though ;) this is not something to be proud of - and thus I know a page that might help you. But to be honest, your sig looks just beautiful right now anyway... Oh and by the way, as a little encouragement, you're doing great for a newcomer! Your edits are certainly very appreciated here. :) Stick to simple, it's worth it! Warmly, Belle tête-à-tête 10:21, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

┌─────────┘
Hi Belle. I haven't played around with my sig all that much, I sometimes add a symbol ☠☢☣ I tried a few 'magicke werdes' from the Big Wiki, but found some don't work here! ie. {{blue pencil|blah blah}} Which does this! blah blah but a blue line, See? blah blah (no workee!) Looks like you don't have to use those 'arcane' colour codes, (<font color=violet>'''220.101'''</font> works, see? 220.101), Purple 220.101 <nice!>) ("#9966CC" Hm? ) - 220.101
It's likely I will do more editing here as I have seen more than a few articles that really need to be 'put out of their misery' ! Atomic theory was one, Electron seems ok, but Proton !:

Protons are made of quarks. A proton is believed to be made up of 3 quarks, two up quarks and one down quark.

Not simple! Plus Quark and Elementary particle, etc, etc, etc. Oh dear!! - 220.101> talk\Contribs 15:20, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added your name to this list because you have some helpful contributions. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 17:00, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some! Well, I should hope so! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 17:18, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
For the past half hour or more, there seems to be no admins online. 4 QD requests are waiting and I am the major editor. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 17:54, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Chemicalinterest "QD requests"? I guess "Quick Deletion"? - 220.101 talk\Contribs18:25, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Barras said they were all on IRC. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 18:26, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Om nom nom[change source]

Clementina has given you some fresh, juicy clementines! Now enjoy them!

Thanks for all your lovely work, change summaries that are actually informative and funny at the same time, and for simply being the first anonymous user (I think) on Simple to actually welcome other anons! :) Love, —Clementina talk 00:19, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Munch munch, slurp. Thanks, I don't eat fruit much! Actually I shouldnt be here editing as I have increasingly urgent Real Life matters. As usual, I have not had much sleep. ANd it is about 11.3o AM here. I may have a nap, I need it! 220.101.28.25 (talk) 00:29, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted to say that you have more edits than me with an ip. :) 74.109.217.103 (talk) 19:27, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The notice above is rather ironic...hmm...Clementina...giving a clementine...hmm. Mr. Berty talk/stalk 12:05, 28 November 2010 (UTC) ...hmm?[reply]

Nearly Easter![change source]

Howdy :P You've popped up on my watchlist on enwiki heaps recently doing good work on the Chch quake article. A hand here would be nice, if you've got the time :) sonia 22:29, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done! Before you even asked! Weird! Wot! No "Twilight Zone" article?! >:-o - 220.101 talk\Contribs 16:01, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There is a The Twilight Zone article now! My first and only brand spanking new article! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 17:42, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hot chocolate[change source]

Belinda has given you some Hot chocolate with plump marshmallows and foamy cream! Drink it up!

Sorry for all the neglect we gave you! I forgot to "watch" your talk page, so I didn't see all the adorable messages you had written up there (and sorry for not being able to answer them till now, either). Is it winter over there, O diligent Mr. 220.101.28.25? If it is, I'm sure a cup of Hot Chocolate will warm you up. If it's summer... Whoops. Well, anyway, thanks for all your contribs, and once again, I hope you continue editing here! :P ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:59, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Slurp! It's Autumn in Australia I suppose, though the current rain makes it seem like winter. Don't worry about not answering any message I leave, us IPs are used to it. <sniff> ;) Actually I'm not very good at replying quickly. But we are not here to gasbag are we? (Are we?)
I noted that Clementina (talk · contribs) has left Simple for her own reasons. I think she will be back when she wants to be. Please say Hi! for me when you see her. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 13:34, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry...[change source]
