NaCl structure[change source]
It is "face centered cubic". This is why it forms crystals in the shape of a cube. As you can see in the picture, each chlorine ion (green) has one sodium ion (yellow). If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! --Chemicalinterest (talk) 12:07, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
