A vandal put something re: you being illiterate on the sock exchange on this page, I rvrted it. -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 06:49, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for keeping a lookout. Yesterday was my first computer free day for a long time.---barliner--talk--contribs- 09:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thats OK. I only gave the guy a Test1. Also, I just relised that I put sock instead of stock :.) . -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 22:45, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you a bot

Are you a bot? Yuo do a lot of minor edits on US Presidents, very fastly. →Ionas Six Eight Two Two Four 00:41, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do they have short weeks in Nevada? I thought you were grounded until tomorrow :-). Welcome back. I noticed the infox box for presidents said american instead of American, and some pipe links didn't need to be so I used autowicki, to fix them and other stuff I saw as I read the articles. I think I caught all 8 VPs who became president after the death of the president and put them into Category:Vice Presidents of the United States too. BTW En:wikipedia says the early terms of office ended on 4 March instead of 3 March, that'll need fixing, maybe next time I am over there.---barliner--talk--contribs- 09:57, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know anything about this edit to your userpage? It looked a bit strange, I reverted it. Archer7 - talk 11:07, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Being in a happy mood I will assume good faith - maybe Ionas was merely asking why I have two medical userboxes. But just in case I'll also keep a closer watch on my user pages in case of vandalism. ---barliner--talk--contribs- 16:06, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AWB cleanup

Your AWB edits are removing the {{BD}} templates, which automatically include a defaultsort feature and places the person in the categories YEAR births and YEAR deaths. Please do not replace this template with 3 categories. It is not necessary. Thank you. · Tygrrr·talk· 16:24, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Chaser's War

You might be able to help. I am working on writing a article on The Chaser's War on Everything (en Wiki entry). It airs on the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)(most common use), which is commonly known as Channel 2. Is Broadcasting and/or Corparation deemed too complex, and should I put Channel 2, and not ABC. -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 09:30, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Say ABC, just about every country has a channel two. Link ABC so that you (or someone else) can write an article about the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, that might be a better place to explain "Broadcasting Corporation". ---barliner--talk--contribs- 09:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done!. Can you please QD that vandal page and check VIP, and take action! Thanks again! -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 22:48, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UN members

I went through the entire page and replaced the missing templates with {{flagicon}}. Its a little odd with half direct templates and half flagicons, but it is better than creating 50 templates we will rarely use (flagicon is set up to work with or without the supporting templates so it limits the need for creating extras). I also linked each country to its page. I may have screwed up one or two.. there was a lot of shifting with countries whose official name is not their common name, but I am fairly certain they are all correct. I also split the list to use the entire screen better, categorized the list and added the iw's. -- Creol(talk) 16:25, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I just got back and opened up the old page. When I refreshed I got your version. I've changed flagicon Switzerland to {{SWI}} because that template already exists. I used the ISO version in the table so I could redirect. As for names: the UN lists the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia under "T". I think wikipedia should be a triumph of commonsense over diplomacy.---barliner--talk--contribs- 16:35, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

side point: When creating shortcut templates, don't include the left attribute on the image. It's use prevents using the image on the right side of text without getting all screwy.

removed example as have removed left attribute from all shortcut templates; Thanks only 10 templates did not have the left attribute, maybe cut and paste copying continued the error.

Adminship

Hello Barliner; I was wanting to nomiate you for adminship. If you accept, please respond to my talk page. Peace:) --§ Snake311 (T + C) 00:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply .-Thanks for the vote of confidence - I would be happy to accept if you go ahead and nominate me. I was on en:wikipedia for three years, but spend most wiki-time here now. Thanks again. ---barliner--talk--contribs- 12:21, 15 September 2007 (UTC)posted on User_talk:Snake311#Adminship
I second that, I'm posting on RfA now -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 23:00, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mr.Children

It hasn't been directly copy and pasted. Compare the Simple English article and the English article. Panda Bear | Talk | Changes 23:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK I'll make it the complex tag. I got "copypasted" because the beginning of an article was too close to the en: version. A lot of work is needed on this article, but Japanee music isn't for me.---barliner--talk--contribs- 23:21, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA

As you declined the nomination of your RfA, I closed the vote. Give that it was never officially accepted, while it is archived under not passing, I did not include any actual vote in the archive for it. Only the nomination and decline are listed. -- Creol(talk) 13:22, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

T-Mobile/Team T-Mobile/T-Mobile Team

I moved your original T-Mobile article to T-Mobile Team. That is the official name. I am going to redirect Team T-Mobile to T-Mobile Team. The T-Mobile page should be about the phone company, not a disambig. Thanks! · Tygrrr·talk· 18:21, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Everything is taken care of now. Please feel free to continue editing T-Mobile Team. · Tygrrr·talk· 18:28, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

you continue the editing. So many edit conflicts even when inuse I am taking a break ---barliner--talk--contribs- 18:36, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Country Alias templates

Given the way and the two country alias (CA) templates work, you realy do not need to redirect the non-flag CA if you don't want to. Flagicon will grab the flag alias for what ever name is in the CA it is told to use. As long as the new CA states the correct name for the country, the correct flag is used. If Country_alias_CAN says Canada, flagicon uses Country_flag_alias_Canada. Redirecting does the same thing but takes a little longer to type at times. -- Creol(talk) 12:07, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks that should save time doing the ISO article.In the article Coburg {{flagicon|CAN}} was returning a redlink to the flag image. A redirect seems the easiest way, especially if a country changes its name in the future (not likely in this case of course). If redirects are too resource hungry then it would be best to use them only use the for things like Palestine - where the correct name is needed always or the Ivory Coast as it is now spelled in French, it is not always easy for all editors to handle diacritics.

Template:Scots monarchs

It's marked inuse, so just sending a note rather than doing the corrections. A couple things:

  • Probably should be Scotland monarchs.
  • The primary problem with display as the base edit is comes from the group2 listing. There are mismatched brackets throughout the listing causing it some confusion. All three names are misbracketted (2 on left, 1 on right).
  • There is also an extra bracket in group1's listing but that is just cosmetic, it doesn't throw off the template. Also most of the non-breaking spaces are not needed.

I went through it and got it functioning and placed a copy of the whole thing at User:Creol/testing. I trimmed some of the group 2 section so it didn't look as clunky, but that big text section may be better left out or at least used with smaller text. -- Creol(talk) 18:13, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AWB cleanup

I've noticed that your current AWB cleanup is placing the Scottish monarch template at the very bottom of the page. This is the order you may want to use:

{{cleanup templates}}

Article text

{{stub}}
{{navigation templates}}

[[categories]]
{{BD if a person}}

[[interwiki]]
· Tygrrr·talk· 20:03, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the order. AWB added the template, but did not reparse whivh but the sections in theright order. ---barliner--talk--contribs- 15:14, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Infobox German States

I did a major update to the template {{Infobox German States}} to make it easier to work with and in keeping with most other infoboxes. The page includes the accepted variables that the template functions with. I also updated Baden-Württemberg to use the template in its new format as an example of the template. It should make adding the information to the other states much easier to do. -- Creol(talk) 14:54, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks ---barliner--talk--contribs- 15:11, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Catholicism

I checked the edits and they all seem to be in good-faith. I think it might be best to leave it unprotected for the moment, it looks like that editor could make some constructive contributions to that article. I didn't see a massive amount of POV in the edits, so I think it could work. Archer7 - talk 13:50, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Archer7 here. If you have a good knowledge base in this subject, I think you should also help making the article more NPOV, by citing more references for sensitive statemetns. - Huji reply 13:54, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
