Sorry but this name is still promotional in nature. Perhaps create a more..creative one instead of one that promotes your church? --Bsadowski1(Talk|Changes) 23:12, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the name of our church. What else can we put?

This is a wiki with the churches name. It is our head church that we belong to in Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Church_of_Canada

thanks, greg

You can't promote services or products in usernames, it is against the username policy. Please choose a more appropriate username. And please do not continue advertising. --Bsadowski1(Talk|Changes) 23:25, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser#Central United Church Sarnia. You have been accused of sockpuppetry. —Mythdon [talk] [changes] 23:22, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No checkuser is needed for this, Mythdon. --Bsadowski1(Talk|Changes) 23:23, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please note. I am simply doing what I am told to do by the first person who blocked me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mufka

Mufka also told me to create a new site which I am trying to do but I keep on getting blocked now I am accused of puppeting or whatever it is called. Now that my ip address is tagged what do you people suggest I do in order to get our church onto wikipedia?

All I want is a historical site for our church to display the history of our 200 year old church and its heritage within Sarnia, Ontario, Canada...Please release this block or at least give me a name close to our church name so I can get on with building my wiki.

Our head church http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Church_of_Canada has a wiki. As do many other churches. What is unique about our church is that it is almost 200 years old, it was orginally built on Indian lands and has a rich history within our City of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Our goal is to provide this history on a wiki, showing the progress through the years, the famous ministers who preached here and how the bell tower was once used as a warning and gathering signal. Things like this are interesting and I see no reason to post such data.

One question I must raise is why are there so many of you intercepting this attempt. I was dealing with the first person who put up a block trying to explain my position. Then I got bombarded by others who came from no where, thus causing me to try and create new wikis and was only doing what http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mufka told me to do in the first place.

This is my last attempt. If you still want to ban our church from documenting our history so be it. Of all the sites I have seen on wikipedia I cannot believe this is actually happening.

Please let me know if this is my final shot at getting our church a wiki?

greg

We don't want to "ban" your church. Just create it on a username not affiliated with the church itself. But be aware it will be a conflict of interest. --Bsadowski1(Talk|Changes) 23:46, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not for advertising. Please see WP:NOT. —Mythdon [talk] [changes] 23:29, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Is the church notable? Also could you come up with a new name not affiliated with a church? --Bsadowski1(Talk|Changes) 23:31, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(change conflict) Therein lies the problem, Greg. In the first place, per our username policy, usernames must represent an individual not a group, and names that are the same name of groups or organisations are specifically not allowed. Secondly, writing about people or places which you are connected to is generally frowned upon. If you have any questions about any of this, let me know and I'll help you as best as I can. ···Katerenka (討論) 23:32, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Katerenka. I did some searching and am wondering if I am in the correct wiki site to start with. This seems to indicate it is not the regular English site? Does that make a difference? Is there other wikis...How come this is for "easy english"?

How about Downtown Church History - Sarnia, Ontario, Canada for a name of the wiki?

greg

Hi again, Greg. I'm glad that the information was helpful to you. Unfortunately, the new name you suggested is still against policy. The name for your account doesn't, and shouldn't, be the same as what you are going to create articles about. Regarding your other question, this Wikipedia is the "Simple English Wikipedia" which means that it is written for people who are not native English speakers, and because of this uses simpler words. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions. ···Katerenka (討論) 00:26, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
