Welcome![change source]

Hello, Jessicagirl, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! Oysterguitarist 05:03, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your new articles[change source]

Hello user! I recommend reading the Manual of Style before creating any more articles. Your articles do not include some important formatting, such as adding Categories and interiwiki links. Articles must also tell why they are important (notability) and be more than definitions, otherwise they can be deleted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, -  BrownE34  talk  contribs  05:06, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These people are young, I mean really young, or natives. Agewise she may be 8-13. Be easy, gosh.

A few notes[change source]

Hello Jessicagirl, welcome to SimpleWP. I am glad you found your way here. We are really happy about new editors. Let me perhaps also tell you that we do not believe in censorship. Some of the pages you find here, you might disagree with. Others might upset you. So instead of becoming angry with us that we do not hide certain things, just do not look at certain pages. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia, that tells how things are, not how they should be. Other than that, have fun editing whatever you like. --Eptalon 22:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing: please sign your comments on talk pages. You do this by clicking the signature icon (second from the right) at the top of the edit box. you can also write -~~~~ with the same result. --Eptalon 22:21, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not Spock...[change source]

Nor am I either of those nicks you asked about. Sorry. Zephyrad 04:21, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. I'm a young Wikipedian as well. I hope you enjoy editing here. --S-man 05:58, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to enter your email address at all if you don't want to. It is mainly so other users can mail you privately about issues or so you can email other users who have set up their email. In my experience, it is not a feature that gets used very often. · Tygartl1·talk· 20:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To extend what Tygartl1 said, wikipedia won't send you any e-mails to advertise. The only e-mail it does send is the confirmation e-mail to make sure the e-mail adress you gave is really you. I also agree that it is not used very often. --Isis§(talk) 22:08, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
