October 2020[change source]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. --IWI (talk) 07:50, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to our Wikipedia. You started out with a copy of the English Wikipedia article about Hyperbolic functions. Please take a little time, and simplify the article. I know this is mathematics, and supposedly, it is the same all over the world. As an example, look at Navier–Stokes equations, and compare that to en:Navier-Stokes equations. Note: I don't say we are against mathematical formulas. What I try to say: explaining the concept is at least as important as giving the mathematical formula. Another example Newton's_laws_of_motion (and EnWP version). Pages that are copies of the EnWP page, and where no attempt at simpilfication is apparent may be deleted.--Eptalon (talk) 11:45, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for the useful comments. I have included the attribution to the source and did more simplification.I will take time and peruse the provided links. Hopefully< I shall be able to come up with the final simplified version in a couple of days. P.maistrenko (talk) 12:16, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Take your time, I know that simplifying scientific articles can be very difficult, and time consuming. Also note, this is a general encyclopedia, and most of our readers probably do not have a mathematics background. All the best, and welcome to this Wikipedia. --Eptalon (talk) 12:20, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please do try to simplify the article you created a bit more. You should change most words that are not listed here. Thanks. --IWI (talk) 08:18, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. I will try to further simplify it, except for some technical terms. The special terms will be referred to other Simple Wikipedia articles so that it is easy to read.
