Vittorio Emanuele III (11 November, 1869 – 28 December, 1947) was king of Italy from 1900 to 1946.
He was born in Neaples on 11 November 1869 from Umberto and Margherita of Savoy.When his father was killed in 1900 by Gaetano Bresci, he became king.After World War I, Benito Mussolini started the March on Rome and Vittorio Emanuele supported him.Mussolini became Prime Minister and Italian dictator. On 10 June 1940,Italy started World War II with Germany and Japan.But Italy and its allies lost the World War II. Partisans killed Mussolini in and Vittorio Emanuele III was exiled. Then,Italy became a republic in 1946. He died on 28 Dicember 1947 in Alexandria,Egypt.
