Vigilante 8 is a vehicular combat video game published by Activision and developed by Luxoflux. It is a spinoff of the 1997 video game Interstate '76. It was released for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Color. A sequel called Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense was released in 1999.

It was released for the PlayStation on May 31, 1998 in North America, June 26, 1998 in Europe and on November 12, 1998 in Japan.[1] It was also released for the Nintendo 64 on March 29, 1998 in North America and in March 1999 in Europe,[2] as well as the Game Boy Color in December 1999 in North America.[3]

IGN rated the game a 6.0 out of 10 for the Game Boy Color,[5] 8.2 out of 10 for the Nintendo 64[6] and 8.0 for the PlayStation.[7]

GameSpot gave the game a 7.5 out of 10 for the Game Boy Color,[8] 7.9 out of 10 for the Nintendo 64[9] and 8.0 out of 10 for the PlayStation.[10]
