The Western Sydney Airport (also known as Badgerys Creek Airport) is an airport in the suburb of Badgerys Creek in Sydney, Australia. The airport is planned to be a 24 hour, curfew-free airport. It would most likely be completed in 2026.[1] The site was officially designed by the Federal Government on 15 April 2014, after years of debate on the location for another airport within the Sydney basin.[2]

The site is within 7 km (4.3 mi) from the Blue Mountains National Park and lies 11 km (6.8 mi) to the east to Warragamba Dam, Sydney's largest drinking water catchment.[3]
