The Editors

Simple News is written by volunteer editors, which means they don't get paid to do it. If you want to help out for multiple issues, please create a page within Simple News with your username, for example "Wikipedia:Community Portal/Example", and let us know that you are contributing at Wikipedia:Simple News/Newsroom. If you only wish to help sometimes, please list it at that page.

Things you can do

• Expand an article
• Simplify an article
• Clean up an article
• Update an article
• Merge (combine) many articles into one

Other things you can do

• Fix double redirects (articles which direct to another redirected page)
• Fix orphan articles (articles with no links to them)
• Fix dead-end articles (articles with no links from them)
• Check facts in articles
• Check sources in articles

Making articles even better

• Some articles can be made into Good articles
• Improve or propose an article, so it can become Very good

Community

• Visit Simple talk to talk about this Wikipedia
• Peer review an article
• Tell editors how they are doing in this project, or ask for a review.
• Read the latest Wikipedia announcements
• Talk to other users on the Simple IRC Channel
• Become an administrator or ask one for help
• Learn how to deal with vandalism
• Confirm your email address
