Wilma Chan

Wilma Chan (Chinese: 陳煥瑛; pinyin: Chén Huànyīng; October 5, 1949 – November 3, 2021) was an American Democratic Party politician. Chan was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a member of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors between 1995 until 2000 and again from 2011 until her death. Chan was also a member of the California State Assembly between 2000 and 2006.

Chan was hit by a car while she was walking her dog on November 3, 2021 in Oakland, California.[1] She died from her injuries at a hospital a few hours later, aged 72.[1]
