Yuri Shvachkin

Yuri Petrovich Shvachkin (Russian: Ю́рий Петро́вич Швачкин; 15 November 1930 – 20 February 2021) was a Soviet and Russian chemist. He was a Professor of the Department of Chemistry of Natural Compounds, Faculty of Chemistry at Moscow State University. He was one of the first Soviet scientists who worked on the development of methods for the use of human insulin. Shvachkin was born in Moscow.

Shvachkin died in Moscow on 20 February 2021, aged 90.[1]
