From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On 27 October 2018, an AgustaWestland AW169 helicopter crashed shortly after take-off from the King Power Stadium, the home ground of Leicester City in Leicester, United Kingdom.

Club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was on board,[1] as well as two other passengers and two pilots. It was confirmed all 5 occupants died.[2][3]

In 2023 the AAIB disclosed that the crash was caused by the failure of the helicopter's tail rotor which led to a loss of yaw control.[4]
