Airfix is a UK manufacturer of plastic scale model kits.[1] Airfix was founded in 1939 by Nicholas Kove.[1] Airfix is currently owned by Hornby. During the 1960s and 1970s, the company grew much bigger as the kit modelling hobby became more popular. The range of models expanded at this time too.
