Ali Tanrıyar

Ali Tanrıyar (14 March 1914 – 25 May 2017) was a Turkish politician. He served as Minister of Interior of Turkey from December 13, 1983 through October 26, 1984. He also served as President of the Galatasaray S.K. from March 15, 1986 through March 17, 1990. He was a member of the Motherland Party.

Tanrıyar was born in Eleftheroupoli, Greece to Turkish parents. He studied at Istanbul University. He was the brother-in-law of former President and Prime Minister Turgut Özal. Tanrıyar died on 25 May 2017 in Istanbul at the age of 103.[1]
