Americus, Georgia

Americus is a city in Sumter County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 16,230.[1] Americus is the home of Habitat for Humanity's international headquarters, a humanitarian house building institute built by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.[2] Glover Foods and many more well-known organizations.
The city is the county seat of Sumter County.[3]
