Asta Maria Linnéa Plathino (7 January 1906 — 31 January 1995), was a Swedish track and field athlete being active during the 1920s and 1930s. During the 1930s she became five time national champion and represented Sweden internationally.

Biography

Plathino was born in 1906 in Hemsjö parish [sv; sv] at the time the Älvsborg County.[1] She was a member of Kvinnliga CIK Sport and Gothenburg Women's IK.

At the Swedish Athletics Championships Plathino became national champion in the 80 metres hurdles (1935), long jump (1932, 1934), high jump (1932) and relay (1934).

Plathino represented Sweden at the 1926 Women's World Games in Gothenburg. With a distance of 5.16 metres she finished fourth in the long jump event. Together with Sylvia Stave, Vera Jacobsson and Märta Johansson she competed in the 4 × 110 yards relay event and also finished in fourth place.[2]

Plathino died in Alingsås parish [sv] in Älvsborg county on 31 January 1995.[1] She is buried in the Western cemetery [sv] in Gothenburg.[3]
