Austin Mitchell

Austin Vernon Mitchell ONZM (19 September 1934 – 18 August 2021)[1] was a British Labour Party politician and journalist. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Great Grimsby from 1977 until 2015.[2] From 1979 until 1985, he was Opposition Whip.[3] Mitchell was born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire.

Mitchell died on 18 August 2021 in Leeds, West Yorkshire at the age of 86.[4]
