Blue is the Warmest Colour is a French drama movie. It was based on the 2010 French graphic novel Blue Angel.

The subject is a fifteen-year-old girl. She wants to become a teacher. Her life gets turned upside down when she gets meets with a blue-haired art student attending a nearby college. The story also involves lesbian romances.

The movie was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2013. It was released in other places later that year. The movie was rated NC-17

(no children 17 and under admitted) for sexual content.
