Bob Lloyd Schieffer (born February 25, 1937) is an American television journalist and news anchor for 60 Minutes and for CBS Evening News. He has been the moderator for Face the Nation for twenty-four years. May 21, 2015, is scheduled to be the last time he will be its moderator. [1] He won six Emmy Awards.

Schieffer was born on February 25, 1937 in Austin, Texas.[2] He studied at the Texas Christian University. Schieffer is married to Patricia Penrose. They have two children. He now lives in Washington, D.C. and in Austin, Texas.
