Bob Lloyd Schieffer (born February 25, 1937) is an American television journalist and news anchor for 60 Minutes and for CBS Evening News. He was the moderator for Face the Nation for twenty-four years, from 1991 to 2015. He won six Emmy Awards.

Schieffer was born on February 25, 1937 in Austin, Texas.[1] He studied at the Texas Christian University. Schieffer is married to Patricia Penrose. They have two children. He now lives in Washington, D.C. and in Austin, Texas.
