The Bombay cat is a breed of cat. It is one of the most common cats in Europe.

Bombay cat was developed by Nikki Horner in 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. This breed was developed to resemble a black panther. The breed was created by crossing Burmese with American Shorthair.[1][2][3]

Appearance[change | change source]

Bombay cat has gold or copper eyes and black fur.[4][5] It looks a lot like Burmese. It has a medium build and is muscular. It weighs between 2.5 and 5.4 kilograms, with males usually being heavier than females.[6]
