British Rail Class 930

Class 930, no. 930004 at London Victoria on 18th March 2003, seen painted in Railtrack's blue and lime green livery. This former 4Sub unit was converted to a sandite/de-icing unit in 1979. It was withdrawn in mid-2004 and has since been scrapped.

The British Rail Class 930 was reserved for former Southern Region electrical multiple units and diesel-electric multiple units converted for departmental use. Originally the series was reserved for de-icing and, later, sandite units. In recent years, however, other types have also been given numbers in this series.
