Carroll County is a county in the U.S. state of Maryland. As of the 2020 census, the county's population was 172,891.[1] Its county seat is Westminster.[2]
Geography
[change | change source]The county is located in the Piedmont Plateau area. It is a mainly suburban county.
In Maryland, Carroll borders the counties of Baltimore, Howard, Montgomery, and Frederick. In the North, the county is bordered by Pennsylvania on the Mason–Dixon line. It borders the Pennsylvanian counties of Adams and York.
