Chiniot Tehsil
Chiniot (Urdu: چنیوٹ) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Chiniot was tehsil headquarters of Jhang District in the former Faisalabad Division. It is on left bank of the Chenab River on the Sargodha to Faisalabad road. About 1.5 million people live in Chiniot. Chiniot is at latitude 31.7200 and longitude 72.9789.
Chiniot is on the bank of River Chenab. It is famous for its furniture industry. It exports furniture. Its workers is specially skilled in woodwork. Before February 2009, Chiniot District and tehsil were part of Jhang District.
