Jayne Claire King (born Jayne Claire Seed; 10 January 1962) is an English actress. She is best known for portraying the roles of Kim Tate in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale (1989–1999, 2018–present), and Karen Betts in the ITV prison drama series Bad Girls (2000–2004). King also appeared in the fourth series of Strictly Come Dancing (2006), Safari School (2007), and Celebrity Big Brother 14 (2014). Then from 2014 to 2017, she portrayed Erica Holroyd in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
